Howth Castle Cookery School was opened by sisters-in-law Christine and Edwina St Lawrence in 2008 to share their passion and knowledge about food and carry on the traditions of exceptional cooking and grand dining practiced in the Castle for centuries.
Howth Castle Cookery School had a regular website with a calendar for their courses and no eCommerce.
I investigated the possibility of using their existing website to have eCommerce, but unfortunately the existing theme was not suitable and could not be modified.
So I went through a design process with the staff and then developed a website that was specific to their class and course structure. I had to customise WooCommerce and WordPress quite extensively in order for their courses to be scheduled by a start and end date because this functionality did not exist.
The finer attention to details was worth it because sales increased immediately after the launch and we continue to improve the site using customer feedback.
Alan at Nevada has designed the new Howth Castle Cookery School Website to provide us with the facility for eCommerce. The site is excellent and has already delivered increased sales. We would have no hesitation in recommending Alan for any similar projects.
